Jones is going to be a BIG BROTHER!!!!


We are excited to say we will be welcoming a new addition to the Stainback Family in May 2012. We had our first ultra sound and heard the heart beat a couple of weeks ago. I'm currently 11 weeks along and am very ready to be through the first trimester so I will hopefully start feeling better. So far this pregnancy has been COMPLETELY opposite of my pregnancy with Jones. We think Jones is going to be a great big brother! He is getting lots of practice with playing with baby Cole at Mrs. Dee Dee's house everyday. We will make sure to keep you posted through out the pregnacy.

A Day at the Pumpkin Patch

Fall is one of my favorite seasons - pumpkins, festivals, candy apples, and cool weather! Lula and Pappy took us to Hill Ridge Farms in Raleigh. Jones had so much fun playing in the maze, riding the pony, petting the live animals, and picking out his pumpkin. He is still making us laugh everyday and is growing into his big personality ;)

My little duckling turns ONE

Jones' first birthday was so much fun! We are so blessed to have our sweet Jones and we were so excited to celebrate his special day with our closest friends, our wonderful family, and best of all ... Jones' little buddies. Jones' Lulu, Grammie, and Mama made his birthday very special and we are so thankful to have them in our lives! This past year has been a journey that I will never forget. I have mixed emotions about him already turning ONE but every day gets better and better. We are looking forward to seeing what ONE brings...

This was a fun sunday! We went to church, went out to lunch, and then went to the beach for the afternoon. Jones loved watching all of the kids, the birds and loved eating the sand. He wasn't too sure about crawling on it - he ended up doing more of a bear crawl which was pretty funny. We are going to have one fun summer at the beach when he starts walking. Here are a few pictures from today.

Jones is becoming quite the little helper - or should I say quite the little busy body! He's every where and in to every thing! He had so much fun helping me do laundry this weekend. Even though I had to fold everything twice I loved every second of it!

9 Month Check Up

We saw Dr. Zac on Tuesday morning for a 9 month wellness check. Besides the snotty nose - he checked out perfectly! Dr. Zac said he is growing great and not to change a thing. He said his second bottom tooth should be popping through in the next day or so and the top two are on the way down and should be in within the next couple weeks. I think I say this every month but as his personality continues to develop...he is such a joy to have in our lives. We are starting to see his Mama's "I want things when I what it" attitude and his Daddy's energy! He is on the move and not wanting to sit still for one second these days. He melts my heart every day with that big smile!

Mr. Busy Body

One thing that they don't teach you in the baby books is how to keep your child still on the changing table long enough to put a diaper on...Jones has been in a phase (i hope it's only a phase) where he does NOT want to sit still - it's hard to get him to drink his bottle, get him dressed, and most of all get a diaper on him. As you can see from the pictures below...I give in sometimes :)

The second you set him on the floor is always makes his way into the kitchen to find the dog bowls! Luckily, most of the time they are empty but he sure loves playing with the silver bowls. Macy thinks he's getting ready to give her water and Coki thinks he's getting food - Jones loves the audience.

This is what I came home to one day last week - Boys will be boys - they are going to be double trouble before we know it!

Sunday Funday

What a perfect Sunday! I always love Sundays because we typically spend them as a family. This sunday was even better because it was BEAUTIFUL outside. We went to church this morning - Jones went to grow zone - when I went to pick him up after the service he was asleep in one of the ladies arms. Such a sweet boy :) We played outside all day - we went to the beach to walk the loop, Chris and I played tennis while Jones played in his stroller, and we played with all of the neighbor kids in the front yard. The neighbor girls are now begging for Jones to come out in play... so sweet! We ate a big sunday dinner then Jones had to go straight to the bath because he was covered in his dinner. He ate his homemade fruit popsicle in the bath.

8 Months Old

 8 months old - so we are a little behind on the blog but Jones is now crawling so its a bit more challenging to sit back and take pictures of all of the cute things he does.  Every night I go to bed wishing I could freeze him at this age because he is SO much fun but then the next day I  end up saying the same thing ... he is getting cuter, sweeter, and more fun every single day!   It is amazing how he listens and interacts with us now.  He is babbling up a storm...saying "Ma Ma" and "Da Da"  (he did say Ma Ma first!  he knew he would be in big trouble if he didn't) Chris and I both say we can't believe how much this little bugger has melted our hearts!
